Hi everyone! Now that we are in November (a.k.a. Thanksgiving month), I wanted to share 3 Manageable Tips for Practicing Gratitude to give your mind & inner self a little inspiration as we prepare for the end of this year! Our minds our so powerful, and practicing gratitude can be one of the simplest and effortless habits for living a happier life! These tips will provide you with some easy ways to incorporate gratitude into your daily routine.
LET’S GET INTO IT!
1. MAKE A HABIT OF IT
Establishing a consistent gratitude practice can be extremely transformative & can train our minds to recognize the good even when things aren’t going so great. For me personally, I like to start my day writing in a gratitude journal, but ending your day journaling is effective as well. When journaling, it’s best not to overthink it. Strive to recognize and appreciate ordinary events, personal attributes, and valued people in your life. If you choose to go the journaling route, there’s an added bonus: you will have them to look back on and recall the things that you were grateful for during each chapter of your life!

2. PAUSE AND LOOK AROUND
Your surroundings in any given moment will look different at various times & this practice will adjust accordingly! For me, I thrive off of finding the most basic & obvious things to be grateful for in any given time frame. That’s the beauty of gratitude though… it’s up to you to find what speaks to you! And when you do, & take those few seconds to consistently be grateful, whatever stands out to you personally, I promise you will feel shifts in all areas of your life!

3. In a trying time? this is the best time to practice it.
We all find ourselves in difficult times throughout the day, & this is the time that I encourage you to practice gratitude. Feeling frustrated that you just spilled an entire carton of orange juice? Stop. Pause. Think about some things that you are grateful for. You can even say them out loud! (Maybe you’re grateful that you even had that orange juice to begin with? 🙂 ) Or maybe there are some other really great things surrounding you in that given moment that you can be thankful for. The possibilities are endless!

I hope that you can find & apply at least 1 of these 3 manageable gratitude tips into your own life this month & beyond. Regardless, just remember to tune into what your mind needs & just do that. We are all constantly trying to figure out what works best & what doesn’t, so just give yourself some grace, & make necessary shifts when it makes sense for YOU!
Are you already doing any of these practices? Let me know!
