This 20-21 school year will look different for everyone, but I always love the reminder that we are in this together! After teaching 100% remote for the past 4.5 weeks, I can say that I have gotten into a good groove and know what to expect each day. I love approaching my work-from-home desk each day and seeing my daily necessities set up and ready to take on the day with me! One of my absolute favorite places to find school-related items is Amazon. From planners, to pens, to coffee mugs, and cozy cardigans, it’s a one-stop shop with many different options! Now that the new school year is in full-swing for most, I want to share some of my favorite remote teaching necessities!
Academic year planner
Although we are in this extremely digital world, I still have to write my daily tasks! I feel that I recall things much better (and I just adore crossing things off of my lists!) This hardcover planner goes from June 2020 through July 2021 and is complete with monthly tabs, 2 page monthly spreads, and 2 page weekly spreads! It also comes with a bookmark and sticky tabs that are great for “call to action” items!
Papermate flair pens
So now that we have a planner, we need some fun pens to go along with it! These Papermate Flair Pens are have been a favorite of mine for years! I love using them to grade papers. Although I am not grading papers by hand currently, I love using the various colors to stay organized while writing in my planner and just for writing in general! The felt tip provides smooth, bold writing and the cheery, bright colors make my day 🙂 (It’s the little things, right?)
yeti coffee mug
One of the first things that I reach for every morning is coffee! One thing that I love about this mug is that it actually keeps my coffee nice and warm over time, compared to if I just put it in a regular, open mug. It comes in many other color options as well!
blue light blocking glasses
Staring at a computer screen all day can do a number on your eyes. I actually purchased these blue light blocking glasses back in February of 2019 prior to consistent remote teaching. I am so happy that I have them to use each day, and I do notice the difference when I wear them!

laptop stand
Directly relating to what I said above about staring at a computer screen all day….it’s important that your laptop is at an ideal height and eye level. Making this adjustment will help with posture and ideally reduce neck pain and eye strain while providing sturdy support for your laptop. I love this laptop mount. It is available in two colors!
cardigan
I love keeping a cozy cardigan over the back of my chair in case it gets chilly while teaching. With fall and winter are approaching, this cardigan can take you from work to weekends too. It comes in a bunch of other colors and solid color options as well!
Ugg slippers
Since we are not required to wear shoes while remote teaching, why not be as cozy as can be? These Ugg slippers are super comfortable, and I love the elastic strap and rubber outsole. They come in SO many other great colors and patterns as well!
spiral notebook
Having blank paper around is never overrated. I know, I know, you can get a general spiral notebook, but isn’t this one just so adorable? The pop of color and gold polka dots add some color and character to my workspace, and I love how it matches with the planner I shared earlier. Also, this compact size is nice for travel and is great for journaling as well.

As always, thank you for reading this and for your continued support!
