Basics. Maybe some of my favorite items that I have in my closet. I love the idea of building a closet with a strong base of staple pieces that you can create countless outfits with. Pair them together and you’ll have classic looks that never go out of style. One of my absolute favorite brands for essentials is Everlane. From blouses, to shoes, to sweaters, and jumpsuits, they create some of the best wardrobe pieces. Now that a new season is approaching (and back-to-school is here 🙂 ), I want to share some of my favorite pieces that you can wear for work and weekends!
White Blouse

A white blouse can pretty make take you anywhere. Pair it with jeans for an easy weekend outfit, and dress it up with a pair of work pants. I love this one from Everlane. It has classic, feminine details that create a timeless look. It’s currently 25% off, making it under $50! Fit is true to size.

Suede Day heel

A comfortable, classic block heel is an essential closet staple. While teaching, I’m typically on my feet all day, and these make it easy to look the part and stay comfortable! This one feels like a ballet slipper with its rounded toe and comfortable, elasticized back. You can find it in other colors, and also in leather instead of suede! See details on website for fit.
Silk Short-sleeve shirt

A silk shirt elevates a pair of jeans, but still allows for a casual, cool vibe. Pair it with a pair of work pants to be office ready! This one has a beautiful fit and comes in a bunch of other colors and patterns! It can take you from work to weekends all year long. Fit is true to size.

Linen jumpsuit

Jumpsuits, like dresses, are super easy to throw on and feel complete! This linen one is a great transitional piece between seasons since it can be paired with many different shoes. The square neck, alongside the tie belt (and pockets!) , are details that make this one both flattering and practical. It comes in other colors, too! (I just love everything yellow so this one spoke to me)! 🙂 Fit is true to size.
