We recently spent four nights in Boca Grande, Florida and fell in love with the island charm! There are many things to do and see, but I am sharing the top 5 things that we enjoyed the most while visiting below.
1. watch sunset at the beach

The house that we rented was walking distance from the beach, so we were able to head over to the shore and grab a glimpse of the sunset each night! There are many beach areas to view the sunset, and we made sure to check out different ones throughout our time there.

2. Rent a golf cart
Although we were walking distance from the beach, we rented a golf cart and kept it for the entire time that we were there so that we could use it to drive around and explore the island. The island is equipped with many golf cart paths to accommodate travel along the busier streets, and you will see a great deal of them there driving around while visiting. We rented ours from Boca Grande Cart Rentals.
3. grab coffee at the inn

The Inn bakery was the cutest bakery in town! They had a wide selection of freshly baked goods as well as coffee and other speciality drinks. The girls loved looking at all of the options and choosing their favorite ones!

4. visit the lighthouses

There are a few lighthouses off of the beaches that are worth checking out: Gasparilla Island Lighthouse & Port Boca Grande Lighthouse Museum (Victorian Lighthouse + Regional Museum). The Gasparilla Island Lighthouse is on the west side of the island and the Port Boca Grande Lighthouse Museum is at the southern tip near the state park.
5. eat at south beach

South Beach Bar and Grill is a great beach side restaurant that offers indoor + outdoor seating options. They also have tables and chairs on the sand where you can order drinks to enjoy on the beach. We spent some time at the beach and then ate lunch there one afternoon. We also ate dinner there one evening (and we were able to simultaneously catch a beautiful sunset)!
I hope that this post was helpful if you are looking to travel to Boca Grande, FL! I highly recommend this location if you are searching for an island escape here in the United States.
